the kooples is one of my favorite brands. unfortunately it’s not sold in the states, so this purchase will have to wait til my december trip to europe, when hopefully it’ll be on sale. but nonetheless, i want this coat.
arrived at the office to find this gift from my favorite mysterious brand, relic. thanks guys. now where’s the awesome bomber jacket to go with it.
loved getting to go to my favorite bbq spot this weekend in austin, tx. unusual that i get to go to salt lick when it isn’t sxsw.
i was stoked today when i got home and a box had arrived for me, containing roger gastman’s new book tools of criminal micheif. many thanks to zio of the awesome website these delights for finding out through my svpply page that i wanted it, reaching out to me, and gifting me a signed copy.
had to stop and photograph this tonight. first, it’s the most creative use of snow and cigarettes i’ve ever seen. second, if you think about it, it is a completely ephemeral work. forget about graffiti getting buffed, this was gone by the time i walked home later. lastly, it reminded me of another piece of street art i’d seen in france and posted about earlier this year.
time out new york has just posted a list of the ten best new burgers in new york. you can check out the full text with photos here. i think my winter mission may be to try them all.
went to the marathon’s finish line on sunday to support one of my closest friends’ dad as he ran his 14th new york city marathon. until i stood at the finish line and witnessed the looks of accomplishment on the runners’ faces i never understood the point of running 26.2 miles. now i want in.
went home and ordered running shoes (which i needed anyway) and today downloaded the couch to 5k iphone app. sure a 5k isn’t a marathon, but you gotta start somewhere. just completed day three of the training, and so far so good.
also huge congrats to my friends who ran last week. i’m hugely impressed by all of you.
