while killing time at heathrow’s duty free store i stumbled upon absolut vodka rock edition, an incredibly awesome studded vodka bottle. i came close to buying it, and realized that i don’t ever drink vodka [image via].

just got invited to join a new service called gliider for organizing and planning trips. seems kind of cool, with a great interface for storing information about hotels, flights, restaurants, etc., though i already set up evernote for just this purpose. i can pass along invites. if you’d like one, let me know.
had a little birthday get together on friday night at the cabin down below, following the passion pit/phoenix show in central park. this was the invite (it was sent right after the vmas, so please forgive how played out this joke is now). thanks to everyone who rolled out - and to whomever brought kirsten dunst…
a show was held in honor of my 24th birthday in central park on friday night featuring passion pit and phoenix. taking suggestions for the lineup of next years’ quarter century birthday show.
i rarely write about the girl on this site, mostly because she’s asked me not to. that being said, she got me the raddest birthday present ever… over two years ago she challenged me to stop drinking sugared sodas, which at the time i drank at a disgusting rate. i never had a soda again, and became hooked on seltzer. knowing that, and the fact that i’m a massive fan of all kitchen gadgetry, she surprised me with a soda siphon to make my own seltzer and sparkling water.
as a birthday present, i was taken to the harvest in the square on thursday night, a food and wine tasting benefit for the union square partnership. as a major food lover i was super stoked by the vip badge which got us in an hour before the regular ticket holders so i could eat and drink without crowds and lines. among all the amazing restaurants i happened to think that the highlights were the simplest and came from some of the least expensive eateries: maxie’s grill’s coffee burger, and stand’s toasted marshmellow milkshake.
seen at abc carpet.
